Skagit Valley Culinary Farm Tour

The Northwest Agriculture Business Center (NABC) will host the new Skagit Valley Culinary Farm Tour on September 12th. This “food for foodies” tour allows connoisseurs of locally-grown food to explore the offerings presented at five farm stops.  Guests will have the opportunity to meet Skagit Valley farmers, tour facilities, and of course sample some of the best berries, cheese, pie, shellfish, hard cider and wine grown in the Valley, among other treats.

Guests will enjoy the diverse epicurean offerings found only in the Skagit Valley while learning more about our own Northwest Washington farmers.  Sakuma Farm & Market Stand, Rosabella’s Garden Bakery, Gothberg Farms, Taylor Shellfish and Tulip Valley Vineyard & Orchard will present products from their farms and other Valley producers.

Family farms not only contribute to the region’s economy, they are an important component of local food security, support environmental stewardship, encourage fewer transport miles between farm and table, and ensure the availability of fresh, nutritious food.  Supporting local farms means supporting quality of life, and the supply of quality food.  Experience the difference “local” makes, on the Skagit Valley Culinary Farm Tour.

Space is limited: pre-registration is required.  For more information about the tour, please see call NABC at 360-336-3727, or visit the NABC website at www.AgBizCenter.org.
