Canning and preserving demo at Lake City Sept 3
Learn how to preserve the bounty of summer harvests to enjoy all year long!  The farmers market hosts a canning demonstration to show shoppers how to make their own canned and preserved produce.  The fresher your ingredients are, the better the end result will be, so take advantage of farmers offerings in high summer and stretch your food dollars. (Remember also: some farmers offer 'seconds' at cheaper prices - slightly damaged but still delicious produce - or may offer discounts for bulk purchases.)
